Yes!!! I think it is still possible to make friends. Some friendships are different now days, but they can still be lasting true friendships. Things are definitely different than they use to be!!! I have a friend that moved to Poland a year and a half ago (from the USA) and because of technology, I am able to keep in contact with her better.

I still believe that there's real friendship in this world though I have lost some of so called friends. Maybe, you will feel someone is not a nice guy to be a friend if he or she did something hurted your feelings, but what it will be like if one try to please you in everything? That's pretence, I think, there is no that guy in the world at all. So, a real friend may makes you happy at most time but not all the time. I wish you will find a guy like this.

It is true that true friends are hard to come by nowadays. However, I do think they do exist. They are few in number, but they are still there.

I believe it is very possible, yes. But it does involve people needing to be open, honest and understanding towards each other for one. I consider myself to be a very straightforward person but I do not accept friends into my world easily at all. I will be fiercely loyal too, but am not afraid to step up and fight for what I believe in if they do the wrong thing either. True friendship involves give and take and many people have become too self serving these days which does make things difficult. There is a lot of artificial behaviour in this world, I agree; but thankfully over time and through direct life experiences, I seem to be better at spotting insincerity these days. Of course I do still get it wrong from time to time!

What an interesting discussion you have started here. Sometimes I think that we can all get very busy in our own little world and forget that our friends need us. This is especially true of people who work full time jobs and have kids that are active in programs outside of school. I know people are proud of their kids, and want to spend a lot of time making sure that things go right for them. But we also need to be there for our friends. Because if we aren't, they may just drift away. Not really because they want to, but because they need more out of the relationship. Good luck to you and have a great day!

Hello! Yes, it is more than possible to have real friends. People are usually hiding themselves behind computers, that is why it gets harder. But if you go out and start socializing, you will find real friends, people who will care about you. All you have to do is take the first step. Worry about others, get interested in knowing new people. It is the fastest way to find friends. It might take a while until you find a REAL friend, but eventually you will. Respectfully, Munhozmib.
