Hey everyone. As the title says, for those of us who celebrate Thanksgiving, did you have a fun one? I hope so! As for me, yeah, I really enjoyed Thanksgiving. For lunch, my parents went out to eat at a restaurant with several other members of my family, such as my sister, brother-in-law, and nieces. Needless to say, all of us were full by the time we left. Then we went back to a relative's house for a while. Eventually, my parents, sister, brother-in-law, nieces, and myself had to head home since it was about an hour or so drive home and my sister, brother-in-law, and nieces had to go eat with his family. What about you all?

I spent Thanksgiving with my mom and step-dad they came to our house. It was a little stressfull at first because my mom was actually early. My mom is never early. So it was a nice surprise. We all had a good time. my husband does cook an excellent turkey which is why he gets turkey duty every year. I just make the sides. So we ate & laughed and had a good time. I'm glad you had a good time too!

I had a pretty good day Thanksgiving Day. I was in better spirits than I had been in a while. My mother came to visit me this week and is going to fly back home today. We got to do a lot of shopping, which my mom likes to do. I think she got a lot of her Christmas shopping out of the way. We walked on the beach and picked up shells. Then we went out to a buffet instead of cooking since it was just the two of us. I definitely got my belly full, LOL. Thanks for starting this discussion, and have a great day!

Definitely, and there was no drill seargeant-ish dad to ruin it, and an annoying sibling already slept through it! First, I saw three Thanksgiving Day Parades (two of them are from Macy's on NBC and CBS; one took place in a neighboring state), and I felt like a kid again when I saw those parades, especially when seeing other similar parades on Youtube at the same time. The only family member who spent such time with me was my black cat "Blackjack". He was very affectionate as it jumped on my arms and licked it. Afterwards, I decided to take a relaxing bath. Also, I played Star Ocean: Till the End of Time for the PS2 and leveled up so much during the Maze of Tribulations. It was the first time I saw mom fry the turkey, and although I missed the turkey going into it, I saw the bubbling and frying that was going on. It smelled delicious. I had turkey, dressing with gravy, fried okra (my favorite), casserole, mac and cheese, and even pecan pie. I was so full that i went to sleep for a short time. That's where my fun Thanksgiving ended. It was enjoyable, and no one to mess it up, just like on Halloween. It was a blast.

We don't celebrate Thanksgiving in my neck of the woods but around the same time is the Fiesta of Santa Catalina de Alexandria which is a big celebration. Cheers !!

Well my Thanksgiving was alright. I don't like Thanksgiving food so that wasn't too great. Also my aunt just had surgery so she could not come. =/

I did. Even though I wasn't in the best of conditions (certainly didn't feel up to par yesterday), I had a great day with my husband. We cooked all day, I actually woke up to the smell of him starting his dressing and the turkey. The night before I had cooked our pumpkin pie so I wouldn't need the oven on Thanksgiving day itself for it. That pie, by the way, was amazing if I do say so myself! At least, my husband seems to think so too. Heh. We cooked the turkey really low and injected it with cajun seasonings all day, from probably 10 AM until about 4:30 PM. That thing was literally falling apart, it was so juicy and moist. The skin was perfectly crisped too. Everything turned out great and I have been savoring leftovers all day long and probably will for a few days yet. Our families are both in the southeast US, and we're on the west coast now so we couldn't spend time with anyone - but it was nice to call home and be able to wish everyone a great Turkey Day!

Thanksgiving was a pretty good day. Not a lot of my family could get together this year, but I was thankful to be able to spend the day with my parents. My mom and I made Thanksgiving lunch (I admit though, she did most of the cooking) and it was really yummy. This time of year it seems we make food that we haven't had in a while. So even the menu was special. But I was just grateful I could be with them, and that God has taken care of all of us. Even with my health problems, and my mom being sick, we have been blessed.

Everyone was on time for dinner this year, which is new. I only served 15 minutes later than scheduled which is good, everything was actually ready when it was suppossed to be. The Ham and Turkey cooked perfectly. Nothing was burned, nor was it undercooked. There was room for everyone in the dining room, and after dinner the kids went off to play and every adult in the house sat and had a wonderful conversations and good laughs. Everyone made it home safely. What more can you ask for. I woud say that it was a pretty perfect Thanksgiving

My fiance and I went to his side of the family's gathering first, and then we went to my mom's house. My side of the family has thanksgiving at my aunt's, but since we had thanksgiving at the same time, and since there would be a lot of people at my aunt's, we decided to go to my fiance's side of the family. Plus we had promised them we'd go. So I called my mom up after we ate and had done a few things for his grandma and great uncle, and then went over to visit her for a little while. We had a great thanksgiving, and I got to find out a few things from my aunt (who was at my mom's) that really makes me feel better about the family. Have a wonderful day, happy mylotting.

I had a great Thanksgiving day. We cooked the night before. We had some guest over and ate dinner arouund 1pm. We laughed and reflected by over old times and told jokes and watch a little tv together. It was great. Afterward we cleaned up, they left and I headed straight for the bed. It was a great day.
