Hi balacancer22, you cant play the ps3 games in your ps2 but if you have a ps3 and a lot of games of a ps2 you can play it in the ps3. Here in my country you can put to your ps2 a chip and play the pirated games but if you dont put it doesnt will work the game!! Well in my country the chip cost like 80 or 90 dollars the last year i dont really know how much cost now!! Im from america, and i dont know in your country if some people do it that!! Yes! If you chip your console (modify it) It is against the law where I am but everyone does it. (not me of course)
I am glad you can sell the pirate games in your country openly. Where I live it is £40 for games which is really ridiculas prices.
Playstation could sell these games for a few dollars if they really wanted too and then they would sell millions of them.

40 Pounds ah.. i can believe that..in my country i will be able to buy three pirated discs in 1pound.. i'm really feeling bad for you people..better you could switch over to india for all the pirated stuffs...

well.....what is the use of manufacturing a PS3 console if we can play those games on a PS2.....even technically speaking PS3 games need a more powerful processes which is not present in PS2...how this helps...

of course not. PS3 has Blu-ray disc format and PS2 only DVD format. And beside PS2 can't handel PS3 graphic.

I heard that ps3 games do not work on ps2 and since the company has bought in the new ps3 they have decided to abolish ps2 by this year end..
