My girlfriend and i always tend to have different thoughts on this one. She understands me more than i understand her. And i trust her more than she trusts me. I try to understand her a lot,but it has always been difficult for men to understand women. While on the other side, she tries to trust me a lot but true love has so many adversaries...
What do you think, whats more important, trust or understanding ???

i think both are important in love..no relation can last long without trust and understanding..and when it comes to love ,,there should be understanding between lovers and they should trust each other..then only their love turns into successfull relation..please rate my response if you like it

Trust without that theres nothing , and understanding too but like understanding the person is so hard to find out how does this real person act? then theres Trust which is so hard to get these days , like for me , i think some people in this day and age just say and agree to their lovers side to keep the relationship going and never really feels whats on their mind at that moment ....its like Trust and Love and understanding are like chump change today , its sad , if you really want to find out just sit our loved one down for a nice several hour talk....godbless

It's not a simple question yet.actually,i don't know which one is more important between understanding and trust.but, for me,i always want to be reasonable person,so,i think understaning is frist.you understand her then you will trust her.general opinion works it out that love is blind,so i was you,i try to know her more.

i think both trust and understanding go hand in hand in any relationship. understanding the other person i think is really easy to have and it begins with communication. and this also goes for the trust factor.
without trust the relationship can become really rocky and will definitely lead to problem after problem, unfortunately i know through experience.

i think both are important for relations. but on the first position is understanding then trust. i knew its difficult for a man to be understand their gf, coz a man dont wanna know what a woman want :). but the most important in the relationship is not mutual demand, just trying to be understand each other is the big key.

in love the most important thing is understanding. through understanding you can gain trust. it doesn't work the other way around

Trust and understanding go hand in hand but I think understand gains more importance thant trust. When you trust someone you do not expect that person to make any mistakes. You think that your trust will stop them from straying, but when you udnerstand the person, you know why that person did the thing he or she did and try to make ammends for it. Trust canbe brokenand you can be shattered but udnerstanding can never be broken as you wil lbe able to analyse the reasons for the other's actions. Loveis fickle. It is not to be trusted so much. One can fall in love at teh drop of a hat. Love is over played. For a relationship to last the first thigns whcih is important is understanding. love follows.

When answering this question I think to myself what is harder to gain if you lose it. Trust or understanding. My answer is trust is far more important that understanding a situation. Understanding can come and go and usually isn't such a deal breaker when things come about where an understanding isn't met. For me to be in a relationship means to have total trust in the individual your with. A relationship thrives on trust if you have no trust then you have no relationship in my eyes. What is the point in being with someone you can't trust and are always looking over your shoulder at their every move. It isn't healthy for either party and as we all know trust is a really hard thing to gain back once it is lost. Understanding as I said before can be made when a situation is better explained but trust isn't so easy to attain once lost.

I feel like trust and understand kind of coincide with each other. You trust her more because you don't understand her as much. That is a way of understanding through your trust.. Does that make sense?
