My husband collects coins, silver coins to be exact. He collects it for more than 10 years now and every december he order 1 dozen to be a christmas presents to all his nephews and nieces and they love it too. Me, my collection are butterflies, whatever things as long as there is butterflies design i really buy it. When my brother in law and his wife went to Europe they gave me a gift and that was a jewelry box, a hair clip and the necklace, all with butterfly design. What about you?

i do. i am huge into vintage and antiques but loose interest quickly in one thing. i used to collect cobalt blue glass, kitchen gadgets (antique), flower frogs (globs of glass that they used to put in the bottom of a vase to hold the flowers straight), and salts.
i now collect antique Bibles, old books, old postcards, and vintage ladies pins. i dont go to antique markets too much, i just frequent thrift stores.

wow that's a nice thing to have collections of certain things. I don't usually collect on anything by now. I used to have one before; its a collection of "mayana plants", its both a herbal and ornamental plant and I got more than twenty of its kind of different varities. I cannot just get myself into collecting anything because I tend to loss them tho....lol, am so forgetful that's why.

Oh by the way my husband do. He has plenty of collections of his games; there are stuff from the 80's of his wrestling and basebasll games. Lately I saw a huge pile of baseball games when I cleaned up the drawer last week. He always buy new version of games and the very recent thing he is into by now is his play stations.

I think everyone has his or her fondness sometimes. But once you learn about my collection, I guess you'll consider my own fascination with a lot of things as odd or queer as me.
Personally, I am a collector of round and petite objects such as marbles, white round pebbles, small tin cans, and small feng shui objects. I used to have a collection of stamps, too. Also, I have a few old local and international coins in my possession. Aside from this, I used to collect the sturdy plastic type of call and text card. However, I seldom see this kind nowadays since the local telecommunications networks have cut costs and they have resorted to the cheaper and less sturdy cards.
But the weirdest collection that I have is a thumb-sized bottle full of small round things which I manually and patiently get from cleaning rice before cooking it. Honestly, I don't know the real name of these things but I do love to roll them in between my fingers.
Most of my collections are gifted to me by friends and relatives. So, that's it. This is my share in the world of collections.

I collect keychains, bracelets, bookmarks and pocketbooks. The keychains I collect are from my brother and friends, I always ask them to buy me a keychain everytime they go to other cities or countries.

I am very keen on traveling and most of my collections show that. I have a collection of dolls from around the world that I have bought on my travels. I have collected foreign coins and notes. The most priced currency that I have got are a triangular coin and a three dollar note from the Cook Islands. I have collected lots of postcards from my home country and abroad. I like the sound of your butterfly collection and I love it when a relative or friend brings me home a costume doll.

Mine are lighthouses. It's getting a bit crazy now though since friends and family found out about my love for them. They see something (fridge magnet, postcard, sharpener, etc.) with a lighthouse on it and they get it for me. I always love what they get, but I'm running out of space to display them. I have a knick-knack area that's a practically a lighthouse shrine, lol.

I used to collect lots of different stuff when I was a kid, as I grew up I grew out of that too. I don't even remember what I did with them to be honest.
The closest thing to a collection I have these days are movies, music cds and computer games. But I don't think they qualify since I don't buy them with the sole intention of collecting them.

If I could afford it, I would have a collection of sorts. I might probably collect computers or maybe digital cameras. Cheers !!

In elementary school I had a feel collections. I had a collection of pencils that had cool designs or colors (Which I still have). I also had a much bigger collection which was a collection or erasers (which i still have).
Then I had a collection of stickers that I put in a little booklet sort of thing. I still have this as well. If I for some reason get a sticker I usually just put it in there anyways.
In addition I have a collection of turtles/tortoises, kind of like yours with butterflies. All sorts of things, as long there is some turtle design of some sort on it.

I still stick with the old skool style. I collect stamp and been doing it since 20 years ago. I have a wide collection and have a few high priced stamp which almost reach $10,000. i didn't sell them as I loved them very much. I guess this collection will grow old with me and plan to sell all of the collection as charity when I leave this world and donate all to orphanage. If no one want to buy them, maybe it should be in museum together with all the T-rex bones.
Actually nowadays is hard to collect this stamp due to internet technology. I often please my oversea friend to send me their local stamp when they used in offices.
I think this collectible item will be extinction soon like the dinosaur bones in the museum.
