Which series of games are better The Legend of Zelda or Metroid

Wow, that is definitely a tough one. I love both series. If we're talking early times of video games, like their respective NES days, I would actually say the side-scrolling nature of Metroid was better. I loved Zelda a lot, but Metroid was a different challenge to me. Also, I enjoyed FInal Fantasy more as an RPG. However, from the next gen on, after Super Metroid, I think that the body of work has been much better with Zelda. I mean, my favorite game in either series of all time is "The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time." The recent Zelda editions have been much better overall, and maybe more importantly a little more frequent. The Metroid series seems to take a long time to produce a game, although the quality is always amazing. Overall, even though it's tough to choose; I say (narrowly) that the Zelda series is overall better.

This is a pretty good discussion and I am sure there are a lot of people out there who like games like Legend of Zelda either because of the storyline or because of Link and the other characters on the games,and then I am sure there are a lot of people out there who like the Metroid games either because of the game play or because of the characters,and then I am sure there are a lot of people out there who like both Legend of Zelda and Metroid games and do not prefer one over the other because they either do not play games a lot or because they just play whatever games they find,and do not have a preference when it comes to the type of game that they play,and I can understand while people would feel they way they do because video games are a good source of entertainment because they are a good way to pass the time when you are bored,or when you have nothing else to do other than twiddle your thumbs,or when it is a rainy day,or a cold day where you do not want to leave the house,then video games are a good way to make the day go by faster which is always a good thing,that is cool that you have always been a fan of the medieval genre of Legend of Zelda,and that you have been a great fan of the series since a link to the past and Links awakening,I have always been a fan of video games and even when I was a kid I spent a lot of time playing video games and whenever I was not sleeping,or watching television I was playing a video game for hours on end,and my fiance likes video games as well,and now we do not always have time to play video games,since we are often very busy because of different tasks such as mylotting to make money,since we can not find a job due to the economy and we have to make as much money online as we can,especially since we are saving for our wedding which is set for September of next year,and I have never been into the Metroid games but I have always been a fan of Legend of Zelda especially Ocarina of Time and my fiance likes it to,and I recently beat it again on the Nintendo 64 and I so want to play it again,and I think my fiance does as well,and my brother let us borrow Twilight Princess for the Game Cube because he said it is a lot of fun as well,and me and my fiance are both very eager to start playing it so we can see if it is as good as Ocarina of Time,and the only Legend of Zelda game I was never into was Majora's Mask even though I kind of want to play it again to see if I can get into it,and I would definitely say that Legend of Zelda is the best especially compared to Metroid,and I think my fiance would agree with me.
