I'm handling a topic about personality in one of my lecture though I am not a psychologist or psychiatrist but I'm into medical profession. I just want to know if how many who are into writings like here in mylot are a silent type of person and here in my lot you tend to express your self or most here in my lot are a little talkative that's why you have so many things to write to.

I am a quite person before but through the years, I developed my self confidence and learn to speak more and express my opinion more. However, I know the time I should keep my mouth shut and I know the time to speak up.

hi nim.
it really depends on the situation. if i'm with unknown people i tend to be silent. i just contend myself sitting in one corner reading a good book. if i'm with people i know, i do start a conversation and try to have a good discussion about things and what-not.
anyway, i do prefer to be silent most of the time and people mistake me for being a snob but once they get to know me, they'll find out that i'm not one after all.
happy mylotting and cheers!!!

Hi! Well, I like talking and expressing my point of view. But I also have moods when I want to listen more, like when I am seeking someone's advice on certain matters. I think I am more of an extrovert than an introvert. I like to socialize and ask questions. I also am not afraid to talk in front of a crowd of people, so I guess that's one of the reasons why I am a teacher.
Happy myLotting!

Dear friend,
I am a silent person and this was well projected from school progress reports. As at the column of my conduct it is shown me as quite and polite boy and this I got in every progress report. Now also I am sure to be a quite one. Still I do become talkative may be if it comes necessary. I avoid to talk unnecessary talks.

i'm a really quiet person...i'm really shy too.
i would say that i talk a lot more online then i do in person and i find it easier to talk to people on here. online i feel more free to be myself 100% no matter how crazy, weird or whatever it might be lol i don't like being around people or talking to them really in less i am friends with them lol it's too hard for me to talk to people. i just spaz out.. it sucks so i hate it but online i don't have that problem as much. i still get shy sometimes but no where near as bad as i am in person.

I am more outspoken but not noisy.lol!I mean there's a world difference between an outspoken and a noisy, an outspoken person speaks his/her mind about a certain topic with sense and with a clear idea, he/she is knowledgeable in dealing things and enjoy an intelligent conversation. an outspoken person mostly is good conversationalist and with good points to talk about. A noisy person just mumble things without a clear direction, he/she just enjoy being with the group and talk endlessly with useless and annoying things.
I always expressed my opinions regarding a certain issue with sense, If I feel I don't know the topic then I just keep quiet. I like good conversation and usually say my part when I find it very interesting.

Nah, i'm a rather silent type of person, except when I tend to hum along to my favorite songs to keep from going insane. Actually, i'm not much of a noisy person at all. Since I never had much friends in real life I tend to keep to myself, and when I try to say what I want vocally, I almost always botch it up and say things that I didn't mean to say.
That's why I love to let my fingers speak for me. I'd rather sacrifice my voice to talk with my fingers. My mouth can't speak for me because it stutters, I can't take back what was said through my voice, and I have to think fast of what to say. But when talking with my fingers, I have plenty of time to think about what to say, how to say it, when to say it, and why. My fingers have the luxury of a backspace key when i'm typing, but not my voice. That's why I always speak with my fingers than with my voice.
If I said all this to you in person, I would be stuttering, what I would say would be drastically different because, as I said, I have to think fast to find what to say, and you'd be confused with what i'm saying. Thank goodness for the internet and ocmputers.

I am not quite sure. Usually it depends on who I am with. When I am with my friends, I talk a lot. When I am with people that I am not that close, well am silent. But my job entails training, so often I talk. But this does not mean that I am a noisy person. Its just part of my job.

As much as I would like to say that I'm the silent type because I always spend my time in the PC and I feel like typing and blogging is my outlet... I can't because that would be a huge fat lie :D I'm the noisy type. I don't scream around or anything but I talk A LOT. I don't know how my boyfriend handles it really. I don't nag...but I just TALK.
Thanks for the comment on my discussion!

I am probably a silent type person because I cannot stand a loud person besides me, it irritates me to the max.
But, sometimes I talk a lot too and I am bold and loud sometimes, which makes me confused. But I somehow taught by a professor in college that there is in between type of person whih i just totally forget what its called.

I am more of the silent type. I love listening to others stories and even encourage them to talk more. It's even hard for me to talk to new acquaintances. I just don't know how to start a conversation or to make it going. But if there are things that have to be discussed, I can participate well if I have things to share. But then again, it will take me quite some time to gather my guts before I can really say my piece.

I would have to agree that the majority of people on here would be more the talkative type. I am the quiet type. I think the internet is nice for both. You can be a quiet person but can be very demonstrative and definitely be heard.

When I first read this discussion, I thought it asked if we were the silent or nosy type and I thought, sure that's me. Whether I am silent or noisy depends on who I am around. If I feel comfortable in my environment then yes, I can get noisy.

I was kinda both. Sometimes I'm very talkative. Specially with my hyper-active moment. Friends couldn't stop me from talking and whenever I'm with my older sister she always had stomach ache because of laughing. But I do have also, moment of silence. I just found myself thinking instead of talking. Maybe because I'm more used to it. I rather think more of something or idea instead of voicing it out. I felt like I'm more concentrate when my brain is working than my mouth. My mouth it too careless, I always say whatever I want, I'm a frank person I didn't thought the words came out of my mouth.
Realizing it would be nice if I just keep it in mind.

I'm as silent as they come! I have my quiet moments I guess! I think that I can express myself in my writings! This is far easier than trying to express myself infront of another person. I was always the quiet one in school and I always used to sit at the back of the class! There's nothing wrong with being quiet. I guess it's a good thing that there is a balance of noisy and quiet people! Andrew
