The whole world is watching horror stuck and with disbelief, the war of terror that is still at large in the city of Mumbai. Not only the ordinary people in the streets but also the foreign nationals staying in a couple of prestigious hotels have been the target of these attacks as well, leaving many innocent people and top police officials dead or injured badly. They are using sophisticated ammunition and are believed to be non-Indians.
Friends let us join together as one,and codemn the heniuos and inhumna attack on our brothern.Let these anti social elements realise that they are not succeeding in spreading terror by such demeaning activities ,but only hatred and contempt against them, among the poeple ,all the world.Let us join together and pray for universal peace and brotherhood, and may these misguided elements see reason and realise that they cannot achieve anything by targetting and killing their own innocent brothern......
Mylot is with you, dear people of Mumbai, ans so are our prayers and good wishes.....!!

Thankfully it has ended.I just saw in the news that the terrorists have all been eliminated and Taj is free now.One of the terrorists who has been taken hostage has apparently told that they wanted to blow up the Hotel.it is also now more than ever clear that ISI from pakistan has a hand in this. The Indian govt had requested the PM of Pakistan to send the ISI chief for talks .But predictably Pakiistan has denied any links and has not come forward in a straight forward manner.I think world should unite in teaching this rgue country a proper lesson. In fact it is this country which is behind all the terrorist activities in the world..You can trace everything back to Pakistan

Hello Kiran.....I was not lecturing or questioning your basic intelligence,friend..I guess we all feel strongly and have a sense of frustration within us,and a sense of helplessness too,at the way things are going on in our country and the world.Yes our goernment has taken some steps to deal with Pakistan.....
But what intruges me is the age of the terrorist that was caught ..He was only 21,and
it's essential to find out the group that has motivated this young chap ,and several others like him,to do what they are doing, without caring too figs for the lives of innocent people and their own life's for that matter.I feel if our politicians and top officials were half as dedicated as these young men are, they will surley succeed in wiping away terrorism from the face of the earth...

Hi Kiran, you dont have to apologise.....Your outburst is easily justyfiable since this is what the majority of the Indians are feeling, but you targeted it at the wrong person....this poor me.........
Now it appears that there is a cleaning operation on in the centre, but it appears to be another political gimmick,sigh....Lets just wait and watch the new developments, any way....

You are right Roseo, i did overreact, am sorry about that- as you rightly say, the terrorists are not mature, and therefore its not their judgement that they are going by.they are like puppets in the hands of those who arm them ,train and finance them and leave them to attack like a pack of wild dogs. Those who are pulling the strings are safe and sound, whereas this lot have all perished, and for what? Dont they have any thinking power and see how they are being used? This is the most hateful aspect of a religion in my opinion.

We all are still feeling very angry and let down by the sudden attack on one of our major cities. We all are with our countrymen staying in Mumbai and we feel sorry for the families who have lost their near and dear ones, without any fault of theirs. Hope our friends in Mumbai will soon come out of this trauma.

I am so with you in this... what those terrorists did is so barbaric and inhuman... no words can describe the damage they have done to the city of Mumbai and the people who got involved first hand...
What is their purpose in doing this... what did they expect to gain... is this a call for attention... well if that is the reason... they they succeeded in getting the attention of the whole world... but all countries agree in condemning what they did...
I just read that the seige ended... and if anyone of the terrorists survived... they should get the full extend of the law... without any compassion... people like them do not deserve that...

Hi aseretdd.....and actually I am also trying to find an answer to the same questions that you are asking..."What is their purpose in doing this".....Any way what ever it is,if the whole world stand togehter and raise their voice in protest,I am sure they will not attain their goal, which I am sure will be evil ,no doubt.........
Yes the siege appears to have ended as of now..But this does not mark the end of things...Who or which part of the world is their next target,is the question that comes to my mind......I hope they will all be caught and punished before they strike again.......amen..........

The cruel attack in Mumbai may have left many in the world gasping. Many innocent people killed and many people got injured. The incident creates a scary situation in the city. It is high time to think against the evil act. But the question remains, how it is possible for common people to join together against terrorism? Can we do anything to prevent such kind of incidents in future?

Hi Rose,
We can only pray and hope for the best. We can't trust any politicians, there may be good people also but even if they are good they don't have freedom to work according to their will. So leave that part and I don't have faith in those people. But I agree with the other points. Have a great time dear.

Hello rose08! This is a very brilliant discussion. I am with you too and like those other members who participated here, I really can't believe why there are people do some inhuman actions.
Let's pray together for world peace! I always pray to God Amighty for those persons who did those awful things and peace here on earth!

Much anger and anguish has been spewed on this matter in the past one week.
And what is our game plan to be to prevent these dastardly acts in the future. Well, heads may roll in the ministry and portfolios can be changed. We can be taxed and more money may be spent on defense and infrastructures.
We, as a citizen what are we going to do. Are we going to be so unruly in the public places and break the rule as much as possible as ever? Are we going to show our might, abuse, bribe and show our political clout to the ordinary policeman who is doing his regular duty on the road? Are we going to grumble and protest at the ling queues and security check ups at the vantage points as always? Isn’t the non orderliness prevailing among us is one of the reasons that makes these terrorists so arrogantly go in whenever and wherever they want to go In and come out with this audacity.
Has our responsibility ended by becoming angry or starts by proving in the future that we are not the kind of people who cannot be fooled around?

Yes Bala you are right.Changes are needed in all levels to tackle this horrifying menance, and engaging in the blame game will not solve anything. If each of us as responsible citizens raise our voice against corruption, give up bribery, which we often indulge in resignedly, and live as law abiding citizens,it will be a small, but good start in the right direction. And most people stay away from voting during elections resulting in undeserving people getting elected.
It is the politicians and the religious leaders who try to lead people astray by falsifying facts inorder to stay in power. They should put the interests of the nation as first priority, and refrain from spreading hatred and distrust among people. The politcians and top brass can work in unison to serve the nation rather than indulge in washing dirty linen in public.....If they win over the trust of the common man, then the there will be automatically a general improvement in the law and order situation ....
Its indeed a visciuos circle Bala,we can only hope and pray for the best.........

Hi Rose, I am with you my friend and I too am stuck with horror and disbelief to see what some human beings would do to their brothers and sisters. You are right all the decent people of the world must stand together against such violence. Let us forget our differences be they racial or religious and stand together as one. Let us see reason for once and stop putting our own biased opinions ahead of the good of all. There are only a comparative few who would act like this and if all others stood as one, we would soon usher in a new era of peace for all. Blessings.

Hi Pose dear..I agree fully with you..These terrorists have stuck in different parts of the world and in different occasions.....It shows they have wide spread net ,and is not the work of any one nation against another. This is a more seriuos net, trying to spread fear and insecurity all over the world, and as you said if the whole world as one, stand up and condemn them ,then they will really get demotivated I hope, and abandon what ever mission they are planning...So lets keep our fingers crossed and pray for world peace....

Your prayers and good wishes were really with us that is why we are now safe. The terrorists have all except one been killed. A couple of them did manage to escape so there is still a little fright in the city. People are now avoiding crowded places like shopping malls so this is affecting business here in Mumbai. Of course the tourism industry has already been affected and also the hotel industry. Many of my friends who are connected to the tourism industry are now scared of their jobs as they do not expect good business for the next one year. So these terrorists have affected the lives of many here in Mumbai.

I sometimes sit and wonder
Why did they come and plunder
Did they have no feeling?
Didn's they find this unappealing?
Didn't they have any sense of duty?
Or did they think only of the booty!!!!
Peace is all we ask
Freedom is all we want
Love is what we spread
Terrorism is what should end!
