For those that have graduated and are done with school; do you miss it? For those that are still in school; do you wish you were done with it?
I'm still in school but I'm not looking forward to graduation day. I'm not eager to grow up and move on in life, get a job, and go to work everyday. It may sound childish but that's just how I feel about the situation. I'm too attached to want to leave just yet. =P
You?

Leaving school is the most lifechanging thing to date that you'll experience. If you're planning for college, be confident that you can handle the load - people say it's a different animal from high school, but the only real difference is that all responsibility is held on you. Your teachers won't talk to you; you have to talk to them. And no one will refer to your parents; you will be held responsible for your actions. You have to take initiative if you want something.
Also, don't be too afraid of the prospect of a job. I was nervous about my first part-time job, because I was a wild child. But the job tamed me to a level of maturity where I still felt like myself.

Wow, thank you for the well thought-out post. ^_^ You've certainly highlighted most of the main differences between high school and college. You're right about first jobs maturing people, I'm nervous about the fact that I'm going to have to get one later but now I don't dread it as much.=)

Well I had just finished my studies last april of this year. I'll admit that I really missed going to school. I missed studying. I missed doing assignments that brings me headache, a very hard recitations and those examinations. But knowing that everything has it's end. Anyway, life doesn't end when we finished our studies. Actually it is endeed the start of our long journey in life. We can definitely learn alot outside the school. So I advice you to move on and enjoy life!

Very true. Life doesn't end at graduation - a point I've forgotten in my desperation not to end one of the biggest chapters of my life. I suppose when I finish school I should be looking forward to what's next; what am I going to become? What does my future hold?
Indeed, I shouldn't be dredging the next big step in life: I should be ready to embrace it full on. Reminiscing over the past will undoubtedly bring a profound sense of sadness at first, but over time, you adjust and come to terms with the fact that life has so much more to offer than just twelve years of school fun.
Thanks for your insight. ^_^

Oh, you might not say it now but you will want to leave school! I just finished my undergrad in January and started right away into my Masters program. I will finish with the entire program in August 09 but am done with the class in ohhhh 10 day!!! I couldn't be more happy. I'm so happy to be finishing classes and just have practical rotations now left. It is an exciting step that is even more preparation for having a job. Also getting these tastes of rotations (basically it's working in different settings) make me so badly to just be working and have no homework and projects to come home to.

me? i'm still a student like you, i feel childish to because i don't know what will happen to me after i graduate. i will surely miss my school days if i will work especially when the times i tried to be mature to make others think that i'm matured enough but its hard to get out from the comfort zone but if i will stay here in college forever i will surely feel that there is no new to me i mean no enhancements at all. i just pray to God for my future.

here same with you
I just feel that this time I can do anything
when I like it I'll do it When I dislike then I won't do it
I feel that move on from this time is still so long and I don't want to think about it
that's what I want to talk to myself sometimes but I realize that it will never happen, I will move on and have to think about later

I already graduated in college for one year now and I can say that I miss going to school and study. I think it's enjoyable in school because you are the one sitting in a chair, listening to your teachers and to your classmates. I miss the times when I review at night because there will be long quizzes and examinations. I miss reviewing. It is challenging when you are studying and you have to work hard for your grades. I also miss school and it's like I want to go back because my boyfriend is still there. I want to be there so I can see him and I can be with him everyday. We will both study and inspire each other at school

I completely agree with you. I don't want to leave school yet, but I think I'll mature more by the time graduation comes around. ^_^ There's a saying in my language which sounds weird in English: "From the cradle to the grave, student time is the best." - and I have to say I agree. =P
