I am going to be getting my first cell phone in the spring 2009. I have never had one. I would appreciate any input from you that will help me choice one, operate one and get a good plan. What has been your experiences? Positive or negative with certain models? What special things should I be aware of in operating a cell phone? Any ideas on batteries and recharging I should be aware of? Does credit have alot to do with signing up for a cell phone? I am thinking Verizon, AT&T and even Jitterbug. Any ideas?

Here in our country, Nokia is the most widely used phone. For me, it's durable and very user friendly. My former phone was an older nokia model, but it had been reliable. Even dropped it many times, but it still worked. I just had to upgrade to a newer model that's why i bought a Nokia 3210C.

I use Verizons have since 1999 has a great family plan.
as for models and things depends on what you really want it for. They have all kinds of things on them now.
even the net lol.
I also like verizons for I dont get many dropped calls only ones that do get dropped is if I am in th emountains and the signals just arent there but then I can stop and call them back.
Mostly they are calling to see how far I have got and i I am ok on my trips

congratulations!!!!!!!!I've been using cellphone for almost decades. I still remember exactly th exictment of my first one, which was a gift from my cousin 8 years ago and I love it considerably though it was second-handed. Let's me give you some tips about the new battery of cellphone. For a new cellphone battery, you have to recharge and discharge it three times completely, so it will be activated to its full capacity. I am an experienced user and always carzy about it. If you need any help, just let me know. happy my lot.
