Black Friday Tragedies...

I know from my own personal experience that black friday is dangerous. Although I would never fight anyone for anything, I had a terrible experience myself waiting in line for a 360. When I came home and was watching the nightly news, I heard so many stories about people that were killed or lost limbs or were knocked out. There were also many stories locally of people that got into fights or shootings. Ive noticed also that most of the fights/shootings/killings are over electronics. There was a store here, who (in my opinion, stupidly) only had 4 wii's available. I think maybe they should have specified that. The line in the store was from the front door out to the main street. There were all out fights for people to get system they wanted. I completely agree with the news casters. This is just rediculous. Why would we risk or lives, or someone else, to save a few bucks? When we're supposedly shopping (primarily) for a "christian" holiday. What is wrong with people today? And I heard many arguments about how its supposedly the cause of the flailing economy and such. That's nothing but BS. This has been going on for years. Every year on the same day, for a very long time. It happens when the economy is good and bad. Its just people losing their minds over a sale. What is your take on this? Please no nasty comments, just let me know. Thank you!

I think it is sad that people go so nuts for deals. I haven't had anything bad happen here. We live in a pretty small area so there isn't that big of a need for stuff. Our walmart is 24 hrs so there is no busting through the doors, you just go in and stand by what you want and then at 5 am you can start putting stuff in your carts. I can't believe people would fight over stuff.
