Has Christmas gone commercial?

You remember when you were a little kid and christmas was the best day of the year cause you got all kinds of new toys to play with all year round? You thought it was because santa was rewarding you for being a good kid all year. As we grow up we realize it to be mostly a fantasy. I thought the holidays were meant spending time with loved ones and celebrating the birth of Christ when really it has turned into nothing but commercialism and people beating each other up to get their hands on good sales. What has happened to this world? I need your opinions. Do you really celebrate the birth of Christ or do you just enjoy getting good gifts on Christmas?

People are getting injured or even killed while shopping. Or while working in the store the shopping is being done. People are saying "gee I spent too much money on you" Yes I think it has gone commercial. And people have allowed it to be so. My hubby and I are trying to make family the most important part of the season.
