Were you crazy about the SMURFS as a child?

I absolutely love the Smurfs! I remember them fondly! I used to watch this show as a kid as well. It was mine & my sister's favorite cartoon to watch on a regular basis in the mornings. I absolutely loved Saturday mornings because I remember always looking for the Smurfs on television, along with the Care bears & Inspector Gadget, among a few others. haha. I used to remember standing up when I was younger & twirling around in circles singing the theme song. I as well remember how my sister & me had collected the smurf figurines for the longest time. I don't know what ended up happening to all of the figurines that we had collected.. But they some-how ended up disappearing. I think what ended up happening was when we moved from Saskatchewan we ended up leaving them behind, along with a lot of my other favorite toys from when I was a kid. I remember we also had a stuffed animal of smurfette & a few others as well.. I think we ended up having to leave those behind as well sadly. I remember back in the day when you would purchase petrol & you'd end up getting a smurf in return. I think that's how we ended up collecting all of those smurfs like we had. I eventually want to get my hands on a DVD or VHS of a few episodes of the Smurfs. As I think if I was able to watch the old episodes like I had used to as a kid.. That I think it would help me to get in touch with the little kid inside of me that is still there somewhere. As I feel that part of us all never leaves us, even as we grow up to be adults! In conclusion, I miss those Saturday morning's when I used to wake up each morning all excited about the cartoons that I'd be watching on that specific day. I miss being a kid & how the cartoons back then we're just so special, yet so unique in there own little way. They just don't make cartoons like that anymore sadly. I miss those days.
