Did u do any shopping on Black Friday? I did, but from the comfort (and safety) of my own home. I snagged me some deals online. I just couldnt stand the thought of standing in line in the cold before sunrise to subject myself to that madness. You can find just as good deals and savings on the internet. I much rather pay shipping/handling than a doctor's bill. lol. People are crazy! All these stories are on the news about people getting trampled and their shopping carts stolen and other such things like it's a big surprise. It happens every year. I dont know why anyone would want to go through that. Are you one of those people who camp out in front of stores and such? Or are you like me and just shop online or not at all?

My mom and I went to 4 stores and spent 7 hours shopping!!! It may seem crazy, but for us its a bonding experience. I am not home much so it was nice to spend some alone time together without other relatives around.

Oh, yes! My former housekeeper called me up at 5 am and picked me up at around 6 am. I got a very pretty sweater at Kohl's for $17. It was originally $48. Then we went to Target and I bought a Crock Pot (finally) and a USB cable for my printer. This was my first time shopping on Black Friday and I may do it again next year. I normally don't like shopping, but, during these huge sales you can get such good deals. Purrs. Catwoman=^..^= & Mija

Hey sketch! Normally I would agree, but, in all the stores we were in the people were very friendly and curteous. In no way was it crazy. I guess I was just lucky! Purrs, Catwoman=^..^= & Mija

I wasn't able to get to the Black Friday shopping or Cyber Monday online shopping event. I am sorry to hear about the woman though. No they can't just blame the ones who done it because I am sure their was alot of pushing and shoving going on and that is why it could have happened because people were to forceful.

That sucks that u couldnt shop. There are still some great deals going on both in store and especially online. I'm gonna get some printer ink. It's lame, but I'll need it.

We did go to a store to do some shopping but I also bought a few things off the internet. I could have bought everything from their online store for the same prices but shipping would have been outrageous. So we did manage to snag some deals online, even one with free shipping but I think we did pretty nicely by going to the store too. Then again we shop at a pretty small store and not more than a few hundred people show up. When we start our shopping there is barely anyone there so we get about 10 good minutes of shopping time to run and get the things we want without their being a huge crowd.

I would definitely go if I could find a store with such a small crowd. I bet u got some cool stuff. I love online shopping, but I agree with u about the shipping. A bunch of the sites I like had free shipping though, so it wasnt too bad. So do u think u r going to shop cyber mon?

I shopped and actually went to a Wal-Mart. The crowds where I was were great. BUT, I did not go near the electronics section. It looked like almost total mayhem there. Black Friday has been a fun tradition in my house for years. Camping out isn't for me. We just go and if we can pick up a deal, fine but if not that's ok too. The pushing and shoving isn't for me. I'm shocked about the Black Friday deaths and can only hope the police can prosecute.

Well that's good that the crowds werent too bad. I think u were smart not to go into the electronics though. lol. I can just imagine. I hope that police can prosecute too, but honestly I doubt it will really happen since it involves so much people.

I did go shopping, but I didn't go until almost 10 o'clock, so the stores weren't too busy. My aunt went shopping with some of her friends; they were out at 4 a.m. and didn't finish until after 5 p.m.!!!

Hi! I think Black Friday shopping is turning into madness. I did not have a great time last year (my first year in the States), so I told my sister that I would not do it this year. Therefore, last Thursday (Thanksgiving), I stayed in bed while my sister left at 5:30 AM just to buy a GPS navigator on sale. My friend left her house at 6 PM but I guess she was too late because 15 minutes after the doors opened, there were no more Wii consoles. I felt sorry for her because after going to three stores, she went home empty-handed. Oh well ... good thing I just stayed in bed. Happy myLotting!

After hearing about the guy who was trampled in a walmart store. i doubt i would ever go out and risk my life for a tv set. You are right about the shopping online. You can find just as many good deals online as you can by wasting gas and standing in long lines. Its just amazing how people can actually do that, then push people so they can get the best deal.

What's a life worth? A tv set? I think not. lol. I'd never risk mine for one that's for sure.

Hmmm. That's kinda odd. Never heard of anyone really doing that before. I went to walmart a few days ago and even that was too hectic for my liking. Why'd u go then? We're u just real hungry? lol.

I don't do black Friday. Too many crazy people fight for deals & trample over Walmart employees..I also like online shopping and finding bargains on Ebay and Amazon. It's so much easier to stay inside warmer and comfy with a hot cup of tea or coffee and brows online and shop. The only Christmas shopping I do in the stores is buying wrapping paper, bows and stocking suffers.

Not me I didn't go shopping. I stay right here in the comfort of my home and doing MyLotting, so that I can reach payout. I heard all the bad news about those tragic incidents that happened. It is just terrible what people would do for a sale.

I know and u hear about these kinds of things every year and yet noone seems to have learned anything. They all continue to do the same things. I did a little mylotting on black friday too. It's much better than fighting for your life. lol.

I did but not as early as last year though. I got a new digital camera and some clothes and a necklace that I just can't resist because my old camera has small lcd. It's outrageous to be camping in front of the store just to get something but well we never know why they do it maybe it is really something important to them. ;-)Happy MyLotting

i dont really trust online shopping. a friend of mine sold a labtop on ebay and the guy didn't pay for the labtop. i did do some black friday shopping at walmart, kmart, and target. i got myself a bunch of dvd's, and a 26 inch lcd tv, and a sort of shelf to put my lcd tv in. i really enjoy those huge sales that they have because of how cheap dvd's sometimes are and there were 2008 releases on sale for $2.00 at the walmart i went to. but i dont like the idea of the news saying that people get killed from racing to the lines and getting the things they want to buy.

Well when u are selling something, you should never send the item until you have received payment. I have sold and bought many things online and I have never had any troubles. So I dont think that you should judge it based on a single occurance. It's actually my prefered way of shopping. But it's still cool that u have the guts and got some good deals. Also glad u didnt get hurt especially since u went to walmart. I hear that's the worse place.

I actually shopped online just because I knew that between the aggravation of a million others shopping for deals and the chance something I was looking for would be gone before I got to it.I would rather pay a little more and not get trampled lol
