My Labrador dog's eyes are red sometimes, is that a problem?

I have a 4 year old Lab, and just noticed recently her eyes gets really red especially below her pupil. I'm observing what could be the problem, but I can't seem tell, she eats premium dog food, I walk her every other day, she sleeps good. I only see it frequent by afternoon to night time though. Anyone have idea? I hope she's not sick or something..

yes, the redness in a dogs eyes sometimes could be a problem and my advice would be to show it to the vet....sometimes after the check up nothin really is the problem.... but it could lead to something and i dont think for a small check up you would rather like losing a loved one...

Going to the vet is really a good idea, I'll make an appointment for him this week. I rather have her check than just guessing what could it be. I hope that it's just nothing though. Thanks for posting.

Sometimes a lot of problems with dogs are simple things that are growing in the garden that cause allergies, there was a discussion on here some times ago that had a very long list of plants that can cause dogs trouble, I actually sent it to friend and she immediately went and pulled up three different plants, so maybe you have someting that your dog is coming into contact with that is causing this...

yeah maybe she could have been exposed to some kind of plants or something. Thanks for the idea. I wonder what are those plants that could case allergies. I'll look on. Tnx!
