After hitman,this is another game based movie.With hitman not doing well at the box office,its the turn of the prince of persia to prove worthy.The movie is directed by Mike Newell and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer.Anyone knowing more information please share it here.

The movie "Prince of Persia: Sands of Time" is scheduled to come out in May 2010. From what I've seen the cast appears to be: Gemma Arterton as Tamina, Jake Gyllenhaal as Prince Dastan, Ben Kingsley as Nizam, and Alfred Molina as Sheik Amar. Director is Mike Newell. Other then that because the movie is "in production" there isn't much more to go off of. Yes, it's obviously based on the video game, where a prince teams together with a princess to stop a sandstorm caused by a ruler with the intent to destroy the world. I'll keep up checking on it. I love the game but I fear the destruction of the whole idea by creating a movie from the game. Like you pointed out about Hitman not being so hot in the box office.
