Well dogs are like humans cure can vary from dog to dog, the best solution is to go to the vet. It is true that vets are expensive but it is not good to give medicine to dogs since you don't know it's side effects. Pugs are really cute and I think that they are delicate, they need lots of attention.

You need to firdt determine the cause of the allergy with your vet, expensive or not. Sometimes it's the food they eat. I switched my dogs to Iams and they have done very well with it. Good luck to you.

It is best to take the dog to the vet 1st. My dog has allergies. Our vet has us give her Childrens Chewable Benadryl. But it can make the dog hyper or sleepy. Just like humans. I'd at least call 1st. Just to be on the safe side.
