Besides looking to start squabbles in discussions, some trolls just go through a persons discussions and mark them all negative or, if they are feeling really ornery, they report them as violating mylots terms of service hoping the discussions will get deleted.

Trolling ruins the fun for the rest of us. There is a difference between disagreeing and acting like a troll. I think we can all be civilized here, even if we don't share the same opinions.

Hi! One respondent is right here. Trolling is starting trouble for some reason, perhaps for the fun of it (not for the fun of other people, though). An example is just what happened to me a while back. I responded to a discussion that touched the topic of religion. My response was actually a safe answer, and here goes a comment from a supposed pagan who called my response "stupid". Well, I am not stupid enough to make a comment to that because that instigator would love it if I got angry. Some people just either want to cause trouble here, or are very stupid to even understand individual differences.
To you, happy myLotting!

I think that most trolls are simply bored and, also, have some anger issues. They're a lot like people who, in real life, might drop rocks from an overpass onto cars or write the "F" word onto the outer wall of a beautiful building.
Trolls are on symptom of the unrest and anger in today's society. Trolling is a power trip for people who feel powerless.
