Well, we have been using the computer for more than 5 years, I think. The performance is really slow, and it's kinda annoying after using for awhile. We plan to get a new laptop, so that the computer can get retired. I seldom upgrade my computer parts, I'll just get a new one.

I wish that my office desktop be upgraded soon. At home, I dont usually upgrade that much unless I can feel that there is a major problem with my pc already. But I think it is healthy for a pc to have some sort of check-up or maintenance from time to time.

Hello there my friend. I have a desktop computer that i kept improving until the start of last year because there is nothing more i can do for it - i can only buy a new one. I kept buying parts for it (like Ram memory, Video Card, Hdd) but that ended as i have reached it's limits so i have to settle for it for now. I fortunately have a better computer in my room (a laptop) that has a better CPU and Ram memory, so i can do what i want there.

it's really a matter of how do you use your computer. if you use for internet stuff and typing purposes only. i think your pc is still good. since you can still get online here ryt? anyway, gaming pc is another discussion. you might also wanna consider, if you do a lot of video editing, or photo or audio. Think, if your using your computer to have some cash, the i suggest you invest. no reason why not, ryt?

no my friend i cannot upgrade as of the moment because we are in the middle of financial crisis...our money goes to the kid's needs and that is more important, my computer is already 3 years old and it is getting slow and slow...but if i got the money i will definitely buy a new set of computer rather than upgrade.

The technology in computers is getting very much advance day by day. New improved fast processors are coming in the market with new mother boards. For me, I change my computer or upgrade it after a period of about two years.

Hi pehpot I have only had my latop for 18months but think there is still plenty of life in it before I need to upgrade it. My mum went to upgrade her pc and they told her that it was too old and they don't make parts for it anymore. It was only 5 years old. She came out with a brand new pc!!

I don't really upgrade my computer as long as it runs perfectly i don't upgrade anything, but when it becomes slow is the time i start thinking about a higher RAM or processor. But there is this friend of mine who upgrade his computer every month, i mean each and every month he would buy a new motherboard,Ram and even processor, and i asked him why he was doing that and he said to test different computer parts. I think is just a waste of money to upgrade even if the computer is running smooth with no problems

Our computer is more than one year already but we have been using it for only 3 months. Well, as far as I know, the useful life of a computer is two years but if it is not that well-used and still works properly, I think its life can be extended and there will be no need for upgrading. Actually, it depends on your need whether to upgrade your computer or not. We recently have purchased a video card for our computer and I think our computer will work for more than two years in this state since we don't use up much of its memory. I think memory and some programs are the ones which should be upgraded to make our computer be as good as new.

i usually change the whole computer instead of changing some parts, cause many new parts may not be compatible with the old motherboard, so instead of changing the motherboard and other parts i could buy a new computer the only part which i changed lately is the monitor, i had a big and old crt monitor and i replaced it with a new LCD one.
