Are you employed full time, part time or unemployed?

With the economy the way it is, many have lost jobs. Hopefully this will not continue, as everyone needs to work. I am still employed and so is hubby. I just pray it stays that way because the bills will continue to come no matter what.

Hi Mzkuma, I am employed part-time but hours are variable and it means I can work around my sons school schedule. There have been many job losses recently in the UK and this is worrying as some of these are what people would have considered 'safe' jobs. I really feel for the families that had been made redudant just before Christmas and also for the ones that rely on overtime to live and now have had that cut completely. Huggles. Ellie :D

Ellie, I think most families are feeling it in some for or another. Just hope it gets better soon.

Technically I am unemployed. I'm a student so it's hard for me to work around my schedule. However I do some babysitting during the week for a few hours sometimes and it helps get me some basic necessities so I'm not entirely broke. It would be nice to have a longer, better paying job however.

I know a few people who are employed with more than one job. I was thinking of doing it, but have been fortunate enough to work extra hours for overtime. So, for now I will stay put and continue the extra shifts when they are available.

Some places daycare defeats the purpose of working full time, unless you are making a good amount of money. Here I think daycare is 100 - 150 a week per child.

I am working part-time doing encoding stuffs. I enjoy it because I only works here at home. I am contented with this job while still waiting calls from the schools that I had passed my resumes.:-)

It has to be nice working from home. Requires some discipline for myself.

I'm a student, my parents give me some money each month, so currently I don't have to worry to much about financial issues, I'm very blessed for that. My parents don't have financial troubles either, they can send their 3 children to university without any problem, rent us decent rooms near campus, holidays where and what we like (within certain limits of course), don't have to give less Christmas gifts this year or something. They are working from home as brokers, in a sector where there aren't problems (fingers crossed!)

Yeah, economy is really getting worst nowadays. But compare 2months before it a little bit better now. And that is good for you and your husband still being employed. As of me, I am just lucky to be true to have a nice job with convenient time.
