no interest in all thing

after more than 10 years studies, i entered university. but to my disappointment, few of freshmen here take interests in studies now. they would like to sit in lost rather than studies. worse still, they take no interest in anything else. it is common in China where students attending college only for a baccalaureate degree. is it the same in your country?
