How do find a loyal friend that will stick with you in times of trouble?

As far as i could remember i can only count with my fingers the numbers of my loyal friends that was there for me when i got in trouble, a friend who understand,,the fact is that you can have many friends but not a single "loyal friend".. other might just use you,. then just leave you.. I once heard that "friend is just an illusion" its a part of survival you find a friend you will survive in this present world where material things is a necessary, people will make friend with you and just use you. I dont know what others think about this discussion... What are your thoughts with this discussion?..

ha, yeah to be honest I feel the same way, growing up I have had a lot of friends that would back stab me, tell me lies, doing things that I would never expect them to do to me. people can be real jerks sometimes, I feel you on this one, but there are some people who you can trust. I think, I stay home with my kids now all day long my kids are my friends.
