Before I never really listen to my parents, I do whatever pleases me.. I eat everything that my heart desires.. I can go on a day with only 2 glasses of water which is wrong because our body needs atleast 6-8 glasses a day.. I've been consuming fatty food and foods rich in MOnosodium glutamate without having a proper meal before so now I am experiencing Urinary tract Infection which is very painful,.. It's a burden having one. And also when I was in Highschool Everytime I feel the urge to pee I kept restraining it because our school lacks in facilities such as clean comfort room.. And upto now I'm still keeping this information a secret from my mom.. So I guess I'll tell her about this problem of mine after this blog post.. So for everyone who still doesn't experience this.. Drink lot's and lot's of water.

get your mom to get you some pure cranberry juice if you can. It will help to speed the healing. Also if you go to the DR and he gives you an antibiotic for The infection eat some yogurt with live bacteria with it. Antibiotics can cause yeast infections and they are just as miserable and the Urinary Tract Infection. Antibiotics will kill the good bacteria and cause a lot of itching.

Your health is the most precious thing that you have, and it's important to guard it well. If you're saying that you haven't told your mother that you think you have a urinary tract infection, you really need to tell her so that she can get the right medical care for you. UTIs are really a minor annoyance if they're treated promptly - but they can lead to some very serious problems if they're not. Even worse, what seems to be a UTI can be something much worse with the same symptoms.

hi there, sorry to hear about the UTI. it's really a pain to get it. drinking lots and lots of water will help. there are also other things that you can do to prevent it from coming back. what you eat doesn't really matter, as what my doctors have advised.
things you can do to prevent UTI.
1. wipe yourself front to back when you go to the bathroom. wiping back to front means you bring the bacteria from your back to your urinary tract.
2. don't hold your urine, it's one of the worst thing you can do.
3. drink lots of water. whenever i feel an UTI coming, i'll start to drink a lot of water. i'll drink whatever i can to flush the bacteria out.
hope you recover soon, as the pain can discourage bathroom visits. this will in turn make matters worse.

Hey,ur urge to pee may be the sign of urinary tract infection (UTI).There are 3 main types;
Bacteria affecting the urinary bladder resulting in infection-Cystitis
Bacteria that infects only urethra-Urethritis
And the 3rd serious form affecting the kidney itself-Polynephritis(accompanied by high fever and vomiting)
You have to go to a doctor right away. The symptoms wont go if you ignore them, they will only become worse.Dont take antibiotics with out consulting a doctor.Only the doctor can prescribe you antibiotics depending on the results of urine culture examination.

I hate it when parents are right. Haha. They only say the things they say to protect you, and only because they care.
Hope you get better soon, and water is definitely good!

Some one told that eating patient is better than the healthy person, who could not eat. Eating is not bad for health, but non healthy eating is bad and injurious for health. You used to eat everything that you’re heard desired. It means that you were over eater and this caused infection in your Urinary track. But I think this is not only cause of this defect. There may also be some other irregularities. Any how I would request to take care and wish you good health.

There is no harder lesson to learn than that one. I used to get them as a kid but it wasn't because I didn't drink enough water, it was something else. I remember having to drink cranberry juice for a month solid, it did help a little but now that I'm older I can't even walk down the grocery asile that the stuff is on because of the bad memories. Take care of yourself.

did you consult your doctor already about it? make sure you don't self medicate yourself. at time we don't learn the lesson until we experience it ourselves. hope you will get well soon and tell your mom about it she might feel bad you not telling her about your UTI.

it is very true it was very hard to have urinary tract infection. I guess everybody (or woman) once experience this thing, and you are correct about what you have said just to add also . We should always be clean to avoid this, Someone says using a panty liners and femine wash could also trigger urinary tract infection . I dont know how true.

Yeah, it's very painful.. I remember the time when i had UTI.. i was at school doing laboratory experiment with my partner when i felt an unbearable pain below my stomach.. it came to a point that i can no longer stand anymore.. my classmates called the attention of our school's resident nurse and immediately called the staff to help me out.. since our lab class was at the third floor, they've decided to put me in the stretcher.. yay! i had to skip class as the doctor advised me to go home and rest..

I experience also a UTI problem, I do not know if I still have it.
I have a kidney stone which is the culprit of my UTI, and I already urinate that stone, its so painful before when the stone is still in my kidney, but after urinate the stone my God its so good in feeling its like I'm flying, my feeling is very light.
It's important that somebody in your family knew your problem so that everyone if not can share what remedy will be for your problem.

Along with drinking a lot of water to rid your body of the urinary tract infection also drink a lot of natural 100% cranberry juice, if you don't like the taste of cranberry juice take cranberry supplement pills.Cranberry is known to get rid of urinary tract infections. If you're infection doesn't clear up soon you should do see a doctor because you're doctor will give you antibiotics to get rid of the infection. Also when you feel the need to pee you should go to the bathroom because holding it in only makes the infection worse. I had a urinary track infection last year because I was drinking everything except enough water and boy, did I pay the price! Now I drink nothing but water and take a lot of healthy supplements daily..

Hello there.
Urinary tract infections are not only a burden, but can also put you in serious trouble if not treated immediately. I wasn't immune to UTI because I had it, too when I was in my college days. My sister-in-law got complications in her kidneys because of her untreated UTI. Fortunately, the problem in her kidneys wasn't that so life-threatening serious and she recovered but had to be hospitalized for days.
We can be so busy with our daily lives that we put our health in the backseat. Not knowing that we're putting ourselves at great risk.

I am very sorry you are going thru that. I have had several and you are right they are no fun at all. Once they take hold drinking water & cranberry juice is usually not enough to clear it up. I hope you can get access to antibiotics & a Dr's care. I wish you you the best & hope you feel better.

Oh wow, that sounds awful. I think the best thing to do is tell your mother and see your doctor immediately to start taking medication before it gets so bad that it is untreatable. I dont know much about urinary tract infections but they sound very painful. I do hope you get better, but make sure you tell your mother and by all means do not let it get worse !!
Get help immediately (If you have not already done so) and take medication to treat it ! Nothing is worth risking your health. Its not bad to eat some unhealthy things now and then, but it is important to drink a lot and have a generally healthy lifestyle to follow!
Thank you for sharing this with us, I do hope you get better!
