What would you do if your boss is an ILL mannered boss?

Hi there. Most of the time, my boss is really hard to be with. most often than not he use to yell everyone in the office to make veryone follows him. One time i saw him hitting my office mate in the head... i don't know if he really meant that or was just a joke. i often feel mad but still holding my temper when he use to yell me, because i still have withme all the time the manners my parents taught me. By the way my boss is a japanese (sorry for others...i didnt meant to generalized). what would you do if you were me? Thanks for dropping by and have a nice day!
