I have posted it in here a few times, and I am getting more and more convinced of the words of the great Karl Marx : Religion is opium for the people.
All around the world "human" beings are killing each other in the name of their so called "Gods".
Wether you call it Allah, God, Jehovah or whatever : it is allways an excuse to start a war and kill others in the name of God. Believers are so much believing in their own religion that they think their "Truth" is an excuse for slaughtering and murdering the "Non-Believers"....
And in the mean time the powers that be are getting richer and richer, laughing at the fact that that ordinary people are murdering eachother out.
Marx was a visionary man!
You all should read "Das Kapital"

Yes and Karl Marks killed millions in the name of no God, so what is your point? Idiots will always find a reason to kill each other, it is nothing new, Muslims kill Muslims, Christians also kill Christians.
The problem with your assessment is that the everyday people do not kill for their God, they follow what they are told to do. The problem isn't religion, it is the gutless lying cowards that rule over the religions, their lust for power over the masses is so great they can not stand the thought of competing for the minds of the unlearned. Education and learning for the believers is the only way to over come religious ignorance. God does not need to be defended, and God does not need man to die for him. And he does not need our measly change in the coffers of organised religion.
What we need is a rebellion, a rebellion against the lying thieves over the churches, give them a taste of their own dogma.

Semantics, so he did not personally kill anyone, big deal. His writings are directly responsible for the genocide that fallowed. He is probably responsible for more deaths than any other leader in history. You can be a freaking Marxist if you want. You socialist communist are all the same. Always ready to kill those who oppose you, Marxist are no different than the terrorist that kill for a God, you people kill for no God. You kill for the enlightenment of men.

I totally agree with those views. All that religion has achieved to do is to divide mankind like nothing else.It makes people inhuman and unbalanced in their views.i find that all the religious institutions and centres while preaching their believers to follow simple life etc etc, are getting richer by the day.
I wish people come to their senses and do away with it altogether, so that we can all live in peace

Yes, I agree with you wholeheartedly. Religion is indeed a great excuse for diverting the attention of the people from practical issues relating to their daily existence. Its also a great excuse for dividing people and weakening them, for suppressing the intellect, for defying the logic, for denying the curios the right to ask questions. However, complete banning of religion in turns wipes out the culture of a people for a people’s culture cannot be without their religion. Hence, one runs the risk of bypassing a significant chunk of human history, civilization and evolution. Religion, therefore, should be strictly confines within the four walls of individual homes and any display of it outside, should be banned. One wonders though, will the state ever act so responsibly?

Wouldn't the world be a better place if people applied the following?
Matthew 7:12 (New International Version)
So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.
John 13:35 (New International Version)
By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another."
Matthew 5:43-48 (New International Version)
"You have heard that it was said, 'Love your neighbor[a] and hate your enemy.' But I tell you: Love your enemies[b] and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? And if you greet only your brothers, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.
