Most Asians are into rice than potatoes. Of course, rice is the leading product of most Asian countries. Whether you are an Asian or not, when you eat rice, how many cups can you devour?
Me, in a daily average, I eat at least two cups of rice every meal. However, I'm really trying hard to reduce it to only a cup a day, because the disadvantage of eating rice is it make your tummy bigger. Lol. Carbo loading as I may say.

I can only finish one cup per meal, that would be two cups in a day. I don't usually eat rice during breakfast, I just have coffee and bread or cereal. But my lunch and dinner won't be complete if there is no rice. It is part of being an Asian. Yes, too much rice is also not good. That is why I reduced my consumption from 1.5 cups per meal to one cup only. I hope I could make it lesser or just maintain it.

ermmm about 4 cups depending on the dishes that go with the rice. if it is soup then it will be lower. if it is steam grouper i would say about 4 cups.

hi my dear friend, i am an asian and i love potatoes the same as i love rice. i can eat both potatoes and rice in my breakfast , lunch and dinner. in general i take a cup of rice . i think i can eat a full cup, cooked rice not the uncooked one . otherwise that oe cup will become 4 cups after cooking. LOL.
i can have one cup for sure, with veg, soup, salad, and buttermilk which is one of my favourite items in my lunch and dinner. i involve all other things in my meals so that rice goes a little less in my tummy, otherwise it will grow toooo big for me look good.

Not very much. I only eat half a cup or less with every meal. I am required to eat at least half a cup for every meal. I am actually very fond of rice and I used to eat a whole lot, especially while I was in elementary. I even ate them with pasta and noodles. Talk about carbo overload. Before though, I would always say that I would go crazy if I had to give up eating rice, but I was surprised that I was able to do it when I dieted less than 2 years ago. I stopped eating rice completely, and ate wheat bread instead (I hated it though). I have effectively lost the weight, but my mom insists that I overdid it, hence the rice requirement.

I can feel your pain. Lol. That's how I do my diet for the last 2 weeks now, but I really look and crave for rice one way or the other.

You are absolutely right about that. It really can make our tummy bulge.

I only eat about a cup of rice every week. It's usually only when we go out for Chinese food or we have chili at home. I do love rice, though! I just try to watch my carbs as well. I used to eat a bowl of rice with butter all over it. Mmmm... that was so good!

Excess intake of rice will definitely make u'r tummy bigger. But if you regularly walk for 30 minutes daily, then you can avoid this effect. Rice is very rich in carbohydrates and if u limit it to 2 cups per day, it will not do any harm to you. But some say that rice and potato should not be taken together as both are very rich in carbohydrates and your blood sugar will raise very soon..
