They say it is delicious for most asians. One of my friend told me that it is because mostly whenever an asian eat, there is rice on the table or on the diet. Is this true for most asians like me? I think rice is only eaten in china, korea, japan, south east asia and some parts of india, russia and middle east and also some parts of america and africa?

most parts of Asia cultivate and eat rice. If you are talking of India, Bangladesh, Myanmar, China, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Japan, Korea you are covering pretty much the entire of Asia. You have Russia and the former USSR nations left and on the west you have the Gulf countries. But even the Gulf countries consume rice as pilaf and biryani though rice may not be their staple. Only Russia and its former nations don’t eat rice, they are more into bread. So naturally rice is called the staple food of Asians.

it is a staple in most asian countries. it is easy to cook and you can cook it in a variety of ways. and considering there are many types of rice from the fragrance rice of thailand to the highland rice of Bario asian have alot to choose from. potato is not widely planted in asian countries because of the climate so rice is the main source of carbohydrate.
