I know that back pain can be very difficult to diagnose and cure properly. I hope that the doctors have made a good diagnosis and that the operation will be successful. In the meantime, of course, there will be pain and discomfort while the body heals. That is, of course, quite natural. An operation, in itself, disturbs the natural healing ability of the body, even though the end result is to take away what is causing the pain.
You may like to look at this site http://www.emofree.com/a/?3252/6 which could help you deal with your natural anxiety and also help your son recover more quickly. It's a technique based partly on acupuncture theory (but without the needles); it's something that you apply to yourself (and is therefore under your control at all times) and it's also - very importantly - quick and easy to learn and to apply. You may, at first, find it hard to believe in or see the sense in but many people - including medical professionals - have reported being completely astounded that something that seemed silly and unbelievable actually worked! What do you have to lose by, at least, trying?

My thoughts, of course, are with you and your son. I realised that it doesn't necessarily go without saying!

Thanks for this I do have the program downloaded thanks
. He has had to drag himself to his truck and get in to get home as no one was left at work to help him.
He has gone thru all kinds of treatments thru the years I wuold think that his work would have hed him go to a Doctor that would find out something but they didnt just sent him for treatmens did good for awhile.

My best wishes and good thought to your son Lakota. I hope the surgery relieves his pain and he'll be up and around quickly. Those disks can sure cause a lot of pain, I can vouch for that and it affects your whole life. Hopefully the surgery will reduce the pressure. Let us know how his recovery is going.

Oh I'm glad he's going to get some help. I will be sure and say a prayer for him. I can imagine the pain, last year I was fighting a pinched nerve and had a bulging disc and it wasn't any fun....God Bless You....

Be strong for your son. He needs family and friends' support. He will be fine, rest assured that he won't feel anything while he's been operated because he will be put under general anesthesia. He will just sleep, he won't do anything at all. The nerve has to be released from pinching in between by traction and the disc should be corrected, surgery is the only choice if any back exercise or lumbar stabilization didn't work. Do not worry, he'll do fine after.

He will be in our prayers. They have done such improving over the years in back sugery it is amazing to what it was just 25 years ago. My cousin just recemtly had back surgery and he is doing great now. He says he feels better than he has in 15 years. Good Luck and hope all goes well!
