It is so cold in my home country at the moment. I had my central heating making my home a warm place to be. I like to read books, do some writing, go on the Internet and spend time with my toddler son. I take my dogs out for walks but the weather is really cold. I put my Christmas tree up this afternoon and it has lights.
What do you enjoy about the winter time?
Do you still do all your hobbies in the winter?

Sadly, i have never experienced winter! I used to live in the Philippines where it is sunny the whole year round (except for the storm season). Now I am residing in Singapore and it is so much hotter and sunny here! the funny thing is that there are so many winter coats and clothes available for sale here :) I wish that I can experience snow in the near future. I'm sure it would be so much fun :)

I really like winter time, but too bad, I'm staying in a tropical country where there is no winter, no snow. I studied in Australia before, and the first time I saw snowing, I was so excited. It's really fun. I liked going out when it's snowing or in the cold weather, I just enjoy the cold.

I live in Australia so it is summer time here. Christmas Day is usually very hot so after a huge Christmas lunch everybody usually has a bit of a doze or goes swimming. I used to live in Italy so I have experienced a white, winter Christmas and I must say there is nothing like it. Although generally I prefer summer to winter, Christmas is the one day I would like it to be cooler; it is difficult to get in touch with the Festive atmosphere when it is really hot! I love to write and that is what I do most of the time so winter is the ideal; a cup of hot chocolate, the fire and a good book or movie is another idyllic winter pasttime for me.

I sure do love the winter. I really enjoy sitting outside in my lawn chair with my feet propped and in my shorts. Bugs are nearly gone are at least down to a miniumum where it is bearable to sit outside. My Christmas tree si up. But no snow. I live to far south in Florida.

It's not so cold in my place and there still have bright sunshine everyday .It is warm and breeze .What a nice day it is ! Yeah,I know because of the subtropical climate ,the cold weather has not come yet .In this place the cold day is always between the turning of two years.
I am afraid fo the cold weather ,but I still like going out in that days and doing my hobbies. That's really wonderful.

Yes, but not as much as the summer time! In England we tend to spend more time indoors, especially when the weather is cold, windy and wet - that is the worst combination!Fortunately the weekend just gone, was quite pleasant. Spent time on a spiritual/ new age type course in Glastonbury (famous for its festival). The centre where the course was held was fairly high up on a hill (in part of Glastonbury that I hadn't seen before) and had lovely views over the stunning Somerset Levels; fields and fields and then trees on the far horizon.
Don't enjoy the winter quite as much as the summer. But the different seasons provide contrast and make life more interesting. Depending on the weather, can do most of my spare-time pursuits that I would follow at other times of the year.

If we do have winter here, i would definitely do all my readings, writing and mylotting. I would probably listen to my favorite music while sitting on my rocking chair, relaxing and drinking a big mug of hot chocolate or coffee. I love the cold weather but i think i can't handle your kind of weather. I have put up my Christmas tree as early as last week of October and yes, i have adorned it with lights.

I actually enjoy winter more than summer.
But now, the nights are so much darker and colder and more foggy. I think it's time to open more books to read, get working on those crossword puzzles and maybe work on some more recipes in the kitchen to keep me warm.

I enjoy reading and I can do that any time of year. I enjoy the winter more than the summer because I can't take the heat at well as the cold. The thing is, it doesn't get very cold where I live. I'm in the southeast United States.

No, I don’t enjoy the winters. My country India is basically a summer country and winter is here for only a few months. If I was born and brought up in a winter country, then maybe I would have got accustomed to the cold and even enjoyed the snow. And then you do have the facilities like central heating and geysers which we don’t have here coz we just don’t need it. A geyser is there in many homes, but still its unaffordable to many (incl. me) so these two months are hell for me, coz I have to do all the work and there’s no warm water and to heat it on the gas everytime is just not possible.

Yes, I do enjoy the winter time but only during the first a few days of it. I mean, when it gets cold for a really long time it makes me annoyed, I don't want to get out of my home, and even my bed. However, as you can guess I have to, and I do.
During the first days of snow, I usually enjoy it so much. I even play with my brother or gf :D Well, it is funny to act childish sometimes but after a few days it gets boring but still, it is always romantic and peaceful to watch how it snows slowly. I love watching it.

Winter is my last choice in the seasons that I love.. I do love summer and adore spring and fall but winter is the last choice as to the ones that I love.. I do however, take advantage of the opportunitites that winter gives us to snuggle up with a good book, watch more tv, work on the computer, spend time with family, work puzzles, and the other hundreds of things that can be accomplished during the months that you can't do much outside.. I hope everyone stays warm and cozy this winter..
