How do I make an annimated avatar?

I have a new avatar for Christmas. It's supposed to be animated and it shows it in my profile but it's not in the discussions? I've seen other people with animated avatars. How can I make mine that way?

Speaking of animation.. It might be the browser you are using, I have a MySpace page and if I login in with Intenet Explorer my background page is not animated. When I long in through Mozilla Firefox, it is animated. On this MyLot I am using FireFox your avatar is animated. Is it animated on your browser?

Forgot to add - it's animated now since it was made smaller but it wasn't before except in my profile page.

I had this happen before too. It has to do with the way the avatar is formatted and maybe how large it is. I went for a smaller avatar and now it works.
