2 weeks ago, i finally had some time for myself, and i decide to go trekking.. lol =D Though i have lived in singapore for so many yrs, but it's the 1st time i really explore the nature reserves of singapore.. lol =D
SO i decided to go, Bukit Timah nature reserve.. Before i was there, i think that the trails will be easy and that it's not gonna be a big problem for me.. haha =D Thus, when my fren challenged me to run up the 1st slope we see, i accepted it.. But once i started running, i realised the slope it so steep, almost at 45 degrees, lasting about 400m or so.. lol
When i finally reached the top, i was really panting away, and i regretted running up.. hehe.. But soon, we enter the forested side and it was much fun, and the challenge was there, having to climb many levels of steps, and watching out for branches etc.. Though it was sunny, but luckily it rained during the past part of the trail, and we managed to go thru the rain and finished all the 3 trails.. lol =D It was so much fun that, i will definitely go back to it again.. hehe

Ah... sounds good to be treking in Bukit Timah Hill.
I may do that some time. Right now I am exploring some of the scenery at Seng Kang. Very nice at night when you go walking.
The cool air on the quite streets is really refreshing.
I am also thinking of taking more pictures. I may do that one of these days. Still getting familiar with the routes I am exploring. Once I can find a nice spot to shoot, I will be taking my camera along!

Nothing much except for trees and plants.. lol =D Because the trails are inside the forest.. Unless u have a bicycle, u can take the bike trail, it's on the perimeter of the nature reserve.. hehe
Normally, i will be running around my house to tanjong pagar railway tracks there b4 turning to my house again.. If not, will be up to mount faber, and down from the other side, to my house again.. lol =D Another new route i run, is at queenstown, whereby it's quieter, and full of upslopes.. lol

wow! that sounds fun! well, after a year, have you ever got a chance to be back there again? and how many hours before you get into the top?
in my whole life, i just experience things like this i think 2-3 times! haha
the first one when i was still in college, i think you already knew it coz i already told you the story in my other posts...its almost 2 hours walk but its nice coz we are in rainforest...
the second & third one is something that's just like visiting our friend's house...hehe but their house is in the mountain!
its always fulfilling to reach our goals...and when we are already there...we tend to forget all the hardships, difficulties we experienced along the way...

It's fun for sure, especially when it's my first time!! haha =D BUt that was the only time i'm there, and till date, i have no chance to be back.. haha =D
But it cant be said as a real trekking experience, as we are mostly on trails, man made trails, with no muddy experience, or tree/bushes bashing.. lol =D
I will wish to have your kind of experience though, as that will be alot more exciting!! hehe ^_^ IMagine all the uphills and obstacle etc.. hehe ^_^

yeah, first time experiences are usually nice and exciting! that's also what i feel when we do hiking for the first time! haha its just our experience is also a bit scary coz as you know, we get lost in the forest...
but, the place that we climb is no longer a virgin forest for it has been explored and climb many times and there's actually some camp sites along the way...hehe and its not as good on the day we went there coz upon reaching the top, we see nothing except clouds! and its real cold up there!
but i guess its better than yours hehe...coz at least we have that muddy experience and there's a lot of trees, grasses along the way...but too bad that it also hurt us specially when we fall coz its also slippery there....but still exciting coz there's even some parts that we need to use ropes in order to climb...hehe coz the way is 90 degrees elevated, i think...hehe not sure.
you should really come here and let's go trekking together! haha just kidding! actually there's really a number of nice place here to explore and do the activities you wanted to do...

That good for you...
though, for some traveler who are not acquainted in trekking they may find it tiring and exhausting, especially if the roads are slippery...
they may find it quite difficult to continue with the journey..
since you are physically fit then you would really have no problem in terms of endurance...
