Friends on MyLot

I joined mylot a while back for the money I must admit. But after posting and then stopping and trying again several months later, I realize it is much more than makin money. You can get some real persective from others when you read the discussions they have started. The one thing I am not sure of is the Friends tab, what is the purpose of this? I would really like to know.
