I got a problem with my xbox live account. I pay monthly for my membership. I have 3 credit cards under that account. The main credit card on file i had to cancel it do to circumstances. I tried to pay my fee using one of the credit cards on file and it doesn't want to take it. it says it doesn't have sufficient funds but it does and every time i submitted it, it charged me a dollar for verification. I called customer support and they can't do nothing about it, They suggested i open a new game tag and start fresh. But i don't want to because im going to lose everything I worked hard to get on my tag. Is there any other way to avoid this or to transfer my achievements from my old tag to my new tag?

Hrm, I know one of the BIGGEST problems with credit cards, is the billing address.
If the billing address for the credit card is different than the one your provided, it won't be approved.
Have you tried purchasing the membership through the xbox.com webpage as well?
And I concur with the previous comments, try calling xbox support customer service again to get another answer.
But above all, verify the address first.
Also, I don't believe there is a way to transfer achievements to another account, I would HATE to try to gain everything back. I have a little over 6000 achievement points, and would cry like the little girl that I am if I had to.

Maybe you should ask someone who has a Paypal account and a credit card to pay the subscription for you. For example, a friend of mines who playes xbox live couldnt renew his subscription due to the same problem you're having. What i did was put my credit card on his file and it went through. he repaid me the amount through Paypal and all well that end well. he got his subscription and I got back my money and he got to kepe his game tag.

There is no way currently to transfer achievements, but I would definitely try to reaffirm with Customer Service that you are having trouble with verifying your new credit cards. I really can't help cause it's more of a physical thing where I's have to see what you are doing to tell you wrong haha.
Good Luck.
