If lessons were free and you were offered a chance to learn one or the other which one would you choose, a martial art or a foreign language? What language or martial art would you like learn? I am more of a physical person so I would go with the martial art and I would choose Karate, because of the kicking and punching, and blocking.

Hello, ladym33. A hard question. Of course I would enjoy much more learning a Martial Art, no matter what style. I don't know how to fight, and I would be pleased to learn. However, it wouldn't help me earning more. If I learned another language, then I would speak three languages already, and that would be just awesome for my curriculum. But I would not be as interested in learning a new language as in learning a kind of Martial Arts. I would pick Martial Arts. I would like to spend all my energy training and doing something like that. I would just do it and train my hardest. And if I had free time I would try to find money to pay for a new language learned. Respectfully, Munhozmib.

I think if it were free, I would rather learn a martial art. I am more into physical activity, as well. I am not sure which modality of the martial arts I would like to study. There are so many different kinds available! I would like to learn how to keep myself safe and feel more self-confident.

I too am a physical person, but if it was a one on one and the person was good and corrected my mistakes, I would choose learning a language. I would learn Hebrew to go with the music I dance to..

Foreign language - Japanese. Why? Because I already learned Taekwondo, although I would love to learn Judo, I'd still prefer learning a foreign language especially Japanese because I am really a fan of Japan. And I am trying to learn it but unfortunately I am too busy. So if there is anyone out there who is so willing to teach, please do, I'd really appreciate it. :)

I would choose the language, as I would feel it would be the most useful to me. I would probably choose Spanish, because it is so fast growing as a second language in the US. Next after that would be German, because it is the language of industry, even in the US.

That is actually a good question while both can help you out a lot. But I think I would rather learn a foriegn language because I think I would use it a lot more then martial arts since my whole family speks spanish except for me and I would like to be able to talk to my grandmother since all she does is speak spanish.

I would definitely pick foreign language (Japanese). I love the language and I would love to be able to speak it. Martial arts are a bit overrated for me (I'm just saying that because I'm not that physical... lol) so I would definitely pick language.
