Hi! Welcome to myLot. Im answering this in a human's point of view. Between the two choices that you've given, Id probably pick friends and family over God because there's certainty in friends and family. I see them, hear them, touch them, speak to them. As for God, there's a lot of speculation about his entity. Who knows that there is a God or something? One can never really be too sure. Just have faith and belief and thats it. Faith that if there is a God, he'd love me. I am human and am a sinner so why give me mercy right?
Well, like Ive said, being human, Id stick to what I know and what I can really experience.

The holy Quran says:"And worship God alone, and do not ascribe divinity, in any way, to aught besides Him. And do good unto your parents, and near of kin, and unto orphans, and the needy, and the neighbours from your own people and the neighbour who is a stranger, and the friend by your side and the wayfarer and those whom you rightfully possess. Verily God does not love any of those, who, full of conceit, act in a boastful manner"
So to have love of God you have to love His people
