Clive Barker's Midnight Meat Train

I've seen this flick not to long ago, and although I liked some parts of it, I think overall it was pretty bad. I should clarify that I've read Barker's original short story, so that might play a part in my opinion. However, I think people who haven't read it would think even less of it because the plot twist is far too twisted for what the rest of the movie is. I thought Vinnie Jones was really good as the butcher, and I thought the gore (though pretty obviously made through CGI in most cases) was very imaginative. The main flaws are a lack of explanation to what's truly going on (Something the short story had) and an ending without real closure (Which the explanation of what's going on would have fixed) So what did you guys think of it? Did you like it? Have you read the original story? Do you think it could have been made better? Rich
