"I wish I'd had a gun, not a camera........."

gunmen all set to kill 1000s.....!!! - It is the photograph that has dominated the world's front pages, casting an astonishing light on the fresh-faced killers who brought terror to the heart of India's most vibrant city.

This is how an enraged Mumbai photo journalist reacted on the fresh-faced killers who brought terror to the heart of India's most vibrant city. He had taken the photograph by hiding inside a train carriage as gunfire erupted all around him! It's indeed a sad state when a journalist wishes he had a gun instead of a camera!I am shocked, disillusioned and extremely annoyed at this horrific face of terrorism! Enough is enough! We must stand up and send them the message loud and clear that they just cannot take us for granted. Want you to raise your voice against this and pray for the departed souls. Thanks.

Althoug it is not the desired feeling we wish for people to express, I can fully understand this journalists frustration in saying this. Enough is definitely enough and there needs to be more of a focus on collaboration between all nations to deal with these issues as a whole. Personal issues between countries such as Pakistan and India need to be set aside and this incident should be used to ultimately bring them closer together as one. The past is the past; and although it can be difficult for many to let go of certain grudges, it is the future that matters now. My heart and my prayers go out to all people that have been affected by these incidents and I look forward to a brighter future and an even more aligned "global village" in spite of it. What I do know though, is that India is a resilient nation and an event such as this will not keep them down for long!

"Global Village"! Wow, what a wonderful notion that would be! But taken today's perspective I am afraid its just a utopia! But I am hopeful just as you are. People who are beyond politics, violence and inhuman acts would stand up united and act the non-violent way. As Gandhiji believed in that one act of violence leaves irreversible destructive impact while non-violence is such an optimistic approach towards life. This was relevant then and NOW as well. Thanks James.

Gandhiji's ideals will ALWAYS be relevant; the issue is in someone appearing on the world stage that has the same inner courage that he held and stepping to the forefront and fighting the fight. Great success unfortunately cannot always be achieved without great suffering! The more advanced technologies and travel become, the closer we will continue to become as global peoples. If only people in power could think outside of self-serving stratstrategies and make an effort to fulfil tasks that are beneficial to humankind as a whole! Utopian it may be, but it is certainly achievable on some level.

Indeed it requires great strength, great poise ans great determination to take in all those censures and hurts and to stand all with conviction. we really need a world leader now who would lead through pacifying our anguish, fear and temperament. we are essentially angry people. Even though with enough reasons, I feel, this is the primary objective of the terrorists - to disillusion and fight among each other! Divide and rule. It seems a utopia, James but I am hopeful that we swill fight it out. we are going for mass peace protest tomorrow. It's a big event and many will join. I just hope all get to the feel of it, get to the essence, the objective rather than just lighting a candle.

If it had been any other fellow in place of that journalist, he would have uttered the same sentiments. It was overly dastardly act and the most shameful. Innocent people lost their precious lifes, without any fault of theirs. I wonder how some people could be completely brain washed and then meticulosly trained in the name of some religion and they can be so inhumane so as to kill so many helpless and unarmed people. Every strata of our society needs to raise their level and should come out against the gruesome terrorism. Those who sacrificied their life for saving others, May their soul rest in peace. We are safe because of such dedicated people. Good Post!!

That's so well put. We all are anguished and so fed up with our corrupted system. we have to stand upright and get our message right back to them. Enough is enough.

I agree riya. The security measure, including the combat uniforms and more equipped disaster management resources must have to be very strong. Thanks.

Terrorism is disgusting and awful wherever it takes place. To all terrorists I say "May your soul never rest in peace and I hope your dreams are plagued with nightmares for eternity!" Terrorists are just murderers with a different name and should be treated as such. God bless the souls of those departed and give strength to those who have lost loved ones. x

I'm so sorry for coming in so late. The memory of that dastardly attack is still fresh and vivid in my mind and I want sincerely that no one, at least Indians must not forget that otherwise nobody can stop many recurrences of such acts, sooner than later.

Yes, forgetting the incidence would mean that we have forgiven and no way we can do that. That's the most heinous act of crime I have ever heard of late.

Yes should resolve to root out terrorism completely from the face of earth and give our children a safe and liveable world.
