do we need to tag a discussion?

yes you have to tag your discussion because it is easy to locate your topic on mylot for many users and for you also, tagging is must every time you post a response tagging is must so remember it!!! sont forget

when i first started mylot.... i used to think the same thing saying that why should i tag every discussion or post or photo.... but it is necessary to do so as it makes it easy for other mylotters and you too in the future to find discussions of your interest but just putting in your interest and hitting the search button.... plus tagged responses may get a higher pay...as i was told around two years ago but i have no idea now if things have changed

Yes it is better to tag it because for example if you respond or type a discussion and it is about dogs anyone looking for a dog discussion will come upon your response or discussion and respond to something you said thus bringing you more to your account. So If you talk about dogs come up with as many tags as you can 10 is the limit I think. So if it is dogs you could say, dogs,pets,mans best friend. Hope this helps. I use to skip tagging but now I tag because I get better responses and more responses to my discussions and to the responses I do on others discussions. So like this one I will tag as, mylot,responses,discussions,tagging.

I think you haven't added a tag here this time, lafouine78. lol! As for me I always add tags to my posted discussions or responses. Some myLotters search for a preferred topic in this website and they do it by using keywords. The tags we put in our discussions serves as the keywords so that when people search for related posts, they can find them easily. As much as possible i make unique keywords per post that I make. That way I can be sure that when someone searched for a not-so-common post, they can view mine. Thanks!

Sometimes I puts tags and sometimes I don't. I don't know if it really has any effect on anything. Some things can be rather difficult to put tags on and so that is when I just skip it. Other discussions or responses lend themselves easily to several tags. I also depends on how much time I have and what kind of mood I'm ink.
