The best thing to do is to be true, tell her what you feel rather than avoiding her. If you have feelings for her then thats a new relationship but before doing some actions be certain. Hope ur fine!!..=)

Well you haven't said how you feel about her, but judging from your post I am guessing that you are not interested in this girl. I think the best thing to do is sit down with her and just be honest about how you feel. Let her know that you are flattered that she feels this way about you and tell her as nicely as you can that you do not feel the same way. If she is a really true friend, she will respect how you feel and hopefully the friendship that you have with each other can continue. Good luck with sorting it out!

I am woman myself. so it would be oyther way round. I would have felkt surprised if any friend proposes me. it will take some time to react.

It is indeed a complicated situation for you. However, the worst thing for you to do would be to avoid this person or to show any uncertainty on your end because she proposed to you. You must take it easily, and just be open to showing her what you really feel. If you want to just remain as friends, then I believe you should be able to tell her how you feel in a way that would not put her down or make her feel unimportant to you. I've gone through that once, and while it was very unusual, I found it to be flattering that a girl would take the initiative just to be close to me.
