What is your computer? why you choose that particular type/brand?

Hi all, I just wandering what kind of computer you are using? such as laptop or PC, and what brand? and why you choosing that particular brand. I using Acer Laptop at home, since I'm not a game freak, nor programmer or designer who need more computing power and detail view. All my need is already covered this Laptop, from speed, view and space. And further more, laptop has less power consumption then pd desktop this way I also supporting global warming fight. Why Acer, since most laptop specification almost the same but the price is different. Acer is the most affordable laptop for me, that why I choose it. what about you? BR

Hmm Iam using Desktop Pc and fine with that ,,,,,Mine is assembled Pc ,,with 1GB ram 160 Gb harddisk when I was thinking to buy coputer at that time these specifications are good in market so I opted that ,,:)

I'm using an Acer laptop myself. I got it as a present from my grandparents so I did not have a say. It is a good laptop for the average user though it could have better battery life.

If you wanna better battery life, unplug your battery when using external power source. My laptop still could run on battery for more then a couple of hours after 3 years. Thanks for responding. BR

hiiiii....well i don have a laptop but i do own a pc.....it is HCL...no specific reason for choosing HCL...ma parents insisted so i chose it...

At home I'm using the self assembled PC. The reason is because of the price that slightly more cheaper than the branded PC. Meanwhile at my office, we only have two recognizable brands,that is HP and Dell. Most of the notebook is Dell because the easiness to purchase and customise the specs. (via online). For the desktop and workstation, we always go for HP because we can compare the prices there from several vendors as HP are available through many resellers around the country and the price given are not same.

Yupe, If i'm gone to have a PC I will assemble my own PC where I could custom each part that I need. Dell & HP if you purchase in high volume. then you will get a good discount. Thanks for responding. BR

i dont have a laptop yet but im planning to buy soon. i think acer has the specifications i need im a game freak and an internet kind of guy. acer is cheaper than most brands.

Yes, each brand have their low end and high end include Acer. In general, Acer cheaper than other brand with above average quality. Hope you get your laptop soon. Thanks for responding. BR
