There are some writers who have a way with words, but I don't necessarily enjoy their work. There are others whose writing is so-so, but they have good imaginations and their stories are entertaining. A couple of writers who I think are good at both (writing and imagination)are Truman Capote and Stephen King. Another really good writer is Daphne du Maurier.

I like Dean Koontz, the horror writer. His books can be really creepy, although as his writing has matured he's more into the area of psychological horror. That's okay, because as I've gotten older my tastes have changed to that, too.

I do not have favorite writer. I do not have interest in reading. My wife is opposite. She likes reading books specially if its written by Anne Rice. We watched "Twilight" last Saturday and she told me that she haven't read or watched any poor vampire story. I guess that vampires are rich. She told me the story of the Vampire Lestat and she said that in that story, Lestat grew up in a castle. I like watching movies instead of reading. My wife likes watching the movie and reading the book of the same title. Or other books that she wanted to be a movie someday.
