nowadays materialism is more prevalent than ever. people are busy pursuiting the money, status and fame without satisfaction. i am one of them. i believe those thing above are the only resource of happiness. but the more we got the less happiness i felt. until being a volunteer one day and did some publick work to help others, i felt so happy, which i never had that feeling before. have you ever got this experience?

Most if not all, are chasing after materialism, I don't deny I am in a way, but not really so aggressively. Just earning a decent living by working and saving a little for myself. People pursuing money, status and fame have big dreams, nothing wrong with it, when it is done in the right path, and this is an achievement. However, when one has reached such a status, one should be willing to give back to society and helping others to do so. This sounds a generous gesture, and one would get happy by doing so. As the saying goes, when you give kindness, you receive kindness; when your give happiness, you feel get more happiness. Having status and money is a resource of happiness, in one aspect, giving and helping when you have this, make one finds the basket of happiness. I have such an experience within my own capability.

Helping others do make me happy. As far as I am as concerned, the helping thing should come without any real expectation from others. In other words, we should not help someone in the intention of getting a return from the end people. But, when you help someone whole-heartedly, then those persons will definitely help us when we are in trouble. I also often donate to charity and other non-profitable organization and I feel very much happy about it.
