"Cyber Monday"

Now that the after-Thanksgiving sales are over, the tv is touting "cyber Monday," when a lot of online businesses give more mark-downs to encourage buyers. The rationale is that people will get back to work on Monday and use the dsl connections at work to order products online. Have you ordered many Christmas gifts online? Do you know of sites offering their best discounts today? Please share.

In the past I have ordered a lot of Christmas gifts online but this year I was not impressed with the Cyber Monday sales. I know the stores are hurting with the rest of us but they didnt offer me any sales worth going after. I did look for sales and was ready to spend, but there was nothing for me.

I agree. I think online businesses were trying to profit from cyber Monday's expected shopping discounts witout giving true mark-downs in their prices.

I have not ordered that many gifts on the internet. I would not mind, but I sort of like taking a walk to the store. I have checked at Zellers and Home Outfitters, but their store is nearby. I would have gone today, but I have to rest up after the operation. And I am missing senior's day, darn it. I have to get something for my sons, other then just gift cards and of course something for Katie.

I think the cyber monday idea is a bit over-rated. I found no price reductions that were not already there over the weekend when I looked for gifts online. Thanks for your input.
