What is the use of "Rate it", who gets the benefit of the rating??

Hello mates,
This is jadhavsiddh, As i am very newer to mylot. I not that much familiar with the rules and the policies of mylot.
Whenever i see any discussion, always there is an option for each post, that "rate it". + or -.
What does it mean????
What will be the outcome to rate anyone's post??
What then if i rate someone's post negatively??

mylot is basically about having loads and loads of fun while getting to earn a little bit of money too.... so dont go worrying your mind about who benifits with what you do...if you feel like rating a discussion or a post and you genuinely feel like rating it then just go ahead and rate it....dont think of the benifits or the losses.
the day you stop worrying about these petty things thats when you will really start earning on this site... so have fun and keep mylotting
