At what point does a baby mimic more?

Hi, I have a 13 month old and he loves to watch Baby Einstein. He started mimicking the action on screen a couple of weeks ago and lights up when he sees objects on screen that we might have around the house. At what point did you notice an increase in this sort of behavior?
