Do you do this, if so why?

I have noticed here on mylot that some people tend to add a little signature-type line to the end of all their posts like "happy mylotting" or "have a nice day", and I'm wondering if this is part of a strategy to earn a bit more each time because I suspect Mylot pays us by the word, or if it's just a habit to be friendly to other mylotters. Personally I don't have a problem with either (and I suspect it's a bit of both), but I'm wondering what other people think of this phenomenon I've noticed.

It is not a habit I have ever gotten into, but I know a few people here on myLot who seem to do it all of the time. I too think it is a little bit of both. I don't see anything wrong with it. I have come to expect it from some people, so it is strange if I ever see a response from them without it.

A lot of the time I sign off by saying 'happy posting' just to be pleasant, frinedly and polite and I reallyand honestly hope my friends on here ARE happy when posting.
I am not in that habit of writing to earn in fact I forget about it and say what I have to say.
Happy posting!

I think it's more about people being friendly and wanting to establish their personalities on the forum by using a more or less unique phrase than it is about earning dough. I wouldn't want to say the same thing in every post, though...that's too repetitive for me!

I sometimes say "Happy myLotting" and sometimes I don't. I admit that if my post was a bit shorter than I intended, I will add it on not so much for earning but just that my poor post doesn't look so short! *LOL* Sometimes my post and the topic that I'm responding seem to fit in with ending my post with "Happy myLotting", and other posts on other topics of discussions don't really seem to need to end with that. :) So, it all just depends. Happy myLotting! ;)
