Leave a massage at the tone

Hey, fellow mylotters, when I call my friends and family or even just when I make a call to someone, I dont like leaving messages, its just kind of annoying talking to a machine instead of the person I intended to talk to, especially if its important theres nothing worse then trying to make an important phone call then just when you think someones going to answer the phone, you hear BEEP! then it says please leave a massage at the tone.
that just gets on my nerves and whenever I call someone I rarely leave a massage unless I really want to make sure that person calls me back. so how about you how do you feel about answering machines and leaving massages?

I hate leaving messages but I do leave them. I hate when people don't leave messages for me. I feel like if they can't leave a message they don't deserve my return call. If you can't leave a message, it couldn't have been that important.

I would have to agree with you! It is really annoying at times! I mean, I am working in a call center and there are times that I have to leave a message to my customer or to our developers in order for me to relay the message! I don't know.. sometimes when I speak thru the voice mail, i feel weird.. lolz...

I too never leave any message with the answering machine. As it is I dislike it very much when a lifeless message speaks politely in an artificial impersonal voice. I just hang up and try and call later.

Yeah, I'm with you. I don't like answering machines. I guess if I had t be out then I'd get one for myself, but as the caller, I like to be able to really talk to a person. WHich is why if someone else answers, i don't also leave a message but just tell him or her to tell my friend to call me back. I've never left messages at all and I don't feel bad when the machine runs out of space because i keep calling and hanging up.

I always leave a message! People can never say to me that I never call them can they? Sometimes I just say it is me and I will call back later and that's it. I know when my mum is in and out so I will leave her message if I just need to let her know something. She sometimes gets in really late at night from work when I have already gone to bed and she doesn't put her pc on when she gets in so I just give her a quick call.

I only leave a message if its like real important or i need a fast response. Other wise i rarely leave messages.

I really hate leaving messages on answer phones.
I have a friend who is nearly laways at home and she always lets the answer machine get the call as she says she gets lots of cold selling calls. I try not ot phone her now and arrange that she phones me as I hate it when she picks the phone up when I have started leaving a message, it makes me feel a fool.

It depends on why I called whether or not I will leave a message. On the whole, I do not like leaving messages though. If I am calling a family member, I will probably leave a message. If I am calling a friend or a business, I will not leave a message. Most times when you leave a message the people do not call you back anyway.

Well personally i dont like the answering machine as it is very annoying. you want to talk to someone but no answering machine plays and you cant really talk with the person you want to talk to. Well thats why i havent kept any answering machine in my phone and i think its better if it isnt kept in any of the phones.

I don't really leave a message unless its important for them to call me back, all my friends have caller ID anyways.

Well i dont like to leave a message in the phone or cell phone i dont really like it but sometimes i do!! i leave a short message like please call me its important or things like that but i dont really like it but for me sometimes is necessary!!! just when is very very important i leave a message or i need some information or something more very fast!! well have a nice day and hope you will have a very good week ;) see you soon and bye bye.
