I was just wondering what type of writers block each one experiences when trying to post to mylot. How difficult is it for you to find interesting and meaningfull discussions. There are so many discussions going on at any given time that I find it difficult to find new material to post. Any suggestions? I would sure like to hear from you.

This is a very good question and one that I have been considering. The guidelines state that you should not start a discussion about something that someone else has already started. I believe that this rule is difficult if not downright impossible to comply with. Since there are over 150 thousand members of mylot and hundreds of new people join everyday, you can imagine that just about everything under the sun has already been discussed at one time or another.
I, too, am having some difficulty coming up with original ideas for starting discussions. Sometimes, while I'm responding to a discussion that I feel passionately about I will think about a side point that I can use to start a discussion of my own.
My next question is how to get others interested in my discussions. I have seen some discussions here that have page after page of responses. None of the discussions that I have started have run to more than one page though. I wish I knew their secret.

I can imagine what it takes to put a new post totally different from others...
but just try to be yourself and the topic would come naturally.
