I have been paying close attention to the economy lately, and espically the economists who keep talking about the wages in America and how most of us do not deserve them for the most part because of the global ecomony and the wages made in other countries. The first point that they fail to tell most of us is in other counties those poor people work for pennies a day. They have no child labor laws, no environmental laws, the corporations can pollute the environment, dump poisions in their drinking water all for the sake of a profit. We will never compete unless the playing field is leveled. I for one believe when a company goes overseas or to Mexico for cheaper labor they should pay stiff penalities to bring those goods back into the country. I realize we all want to buy goods for a decent price, and we would. If the major corporations that send out jobs out of the country would lower the prices of the products that would be one thing but they don't HUGE PROFITS are all that they care about. How do you feel about Free Trade?
