What do you do if your partner does not get along well with your folks?

I personally always got along with girlfriends families but usually there are some people you just can't get along with. There could be many reasons why your husband doesn't get along with your family. As men we don't naturally like to be out done, or out preformed. We are a very competitive species so to speak. Sometimes it can be a clash of personalities, or a means to keep control over you, or as simple as not really a family oriented person. Not sure if you ever really discussed this issue with your husband but you might try really focusing on talking to him about it. Don't let him get out of it with a simple I just don't like them or get along with them.

yes.. my hubby moves friendly with my parents.... I really feel gifted in that angle. You can explain to ur husband how much this sort of behaviour affects ur mind and health. You also should be good and understandable with ur in-laws which might inturn make ur husband behave in the same way. Still if he's not changing ... you can better concentrate ur thoughts on ur interests, instead of correcting him.
